PunkRocketScience
Okay... And now we're back in gear on this one... Is everyone still interested? Is anyone else interested? Will follow up by PM as well.
Kuhlio
Todd, I have been thinking of doing a Jawa for my fiancee's daughter, but haven't done any research yet. Any idea how much fabric I might need for a girl that is about five feet tall?

Kuhlio
I'm in for 6 yards then (just to have some extra). Thanks, Todd!

Tiedoll
I'm interested in 6 yards of the stuff as well. As a robe-inclined and naturally shorter trooper I think it'll work perfectly as one of my next builds. Plus I'm going to buy the tech for Nihilus/Jawa gloves anyways so now I have twice the reason to get it.
Eagleskull
Didn't want to start a new thread since its Jawa related, I was wondering what you all recommend on how to make the eyes? I've seen over on the Krayt Clan forum alot of different ways but I want to see know what the local jawas used =) and what has worked well for them. Thank you -Adriel
PunkRocketScience
These are what I like to use: http://www.michaels.com/ashland-submersible-led-lights/10154209.html Just paint a coat of yellow/orange on them and you are ready to go! BrieKalan2
For those participating, here's a ton of info to help with the next step of the builds! By now you’ve noticed how rough this fabric is. I highly recommend lining it with cotton broadcloth. Available at Joann’s here:http://www.joann.com/kona-cotton-solid-quilt-fabric/prd57239.html It’s a very simple “T” robe with a detached hood. Be sure to visit KraytClan to look at the CRL and tutorials—there’s TONS of info already there! http://www.kraytclan.com/forum/ Todd is the DLXO there! You’ll need black turtleneck/under-armor shirt, black pants. Also boots of some kind—Todd uses rubber boots like these: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Unisex-Rubber-Rain-Boots/22026486 I use cheap fake uggs that are fur lined—super padded, super comfy! You’ll need a mask! The easiest way to do it is a super-hero kids mask. Sounds cheesy but dang it works. I use a Spider man mask. Todd’s is Iron Man. Paint it black and cover it with the speaker mesh (also from Joanns). Here’s the mask link: http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=superhero mask&keywords=superhero mask&origkw=superhero+mask&sr=1&ff=Taxonomy&fg=Category&fd=&fv=2254197 Here’s the speaker mesh link: http://www.joann.com/utility-fabric-black-speaker-cloth/3514023.html To do the eyes, Todd recommends these: http://www.michaels.com/ashland-submersible-lights/M10183932.html?dwvar_M10183932_color=White#q=Floral+lights&start=6 Paint them orangey yellow, and clip them onto the mask through the fabric! Brown cotton work gloves from home depot round out the outfit.

BrieKalan2
HAhaha! What a kid. Seeing it in daylight, I would ask @PunkRocketScience to be sure, but I suspect you will need to even out the weathering and make it less splotchy and more all over. The bandoliers look fantastically beaten up tho.
Bad Droid
Definitely... that was just using the "Khaki" acrylic paint with Fabric Medium. A second coat was applied using "Territorial Beige", but yeah I do need to spread it out a bit. Using some reference pics to better spread the "weather" around. I've learned so much in just the past couple of months finishing this project. A year ago, I was shaking in my boots just thinking on how to begin. PunkRocketScience
Coming along very nicely Carlos! I would hit it just a little harder on the weathering, but agree on the splotchy look of the ANH Jawas! Luckily they all hit the laundromat by the time RotJ rolled around!
