Koryu1212(Dan D)
Time to finish off shoring up the side closures and finish the belt...Sewed together a Velcro "hook" panel for the right side ...A larger one for the left...I also added more Velcro to my canvas belt (thanks for my mentor Victor S. Putting that together for me!) and after hitting it with a heat gun to form it I think it looks much better...Time to attach the canvas belt to abdominal armor...Measured for the snaps...Holes drilled and snaps added...Holes measured, punched and drilled to the canvas and ammo belt...Rivets popped into place...Buttons CA glued over rivets and Belt "snapped and Velcro" closed into place...Fix to add the "small Spanish pouch" to canvas belt...Heated and formed an abs strip around the brass "d" ring...Trim to width of belt...Added hook Velcro...Added some flexible glue to reinforce Velcro to the belt...And done...My "All right men, load your weapons..." Trooper load out...Time to start strapping it together!Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Koryu1212(Dan D)
Boots on...please let me know if the shins are ok...there was a bit of rolling to the inside on both of them but I think a piece of Velcro on top of the boot would secure them nicely...boots fit perfect just like my dress white uniform shoes! Hero poses It’s so clean and white...for now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Stutz
Looks good!!! Shins are riding a bit high, especially your left one with the sniper plate. It should slide down until it "bottoms out" on the top of the boot. You also might want to lower the thighs a bit as well to balance out the gaps at your knees with the ones at your thighs. Koryu1212(Dan D)
Ok...yeah the left one was definitely riding up...as far as the gap from knees to thigh...I was going off pandatroopers build for ref......I thought that it looked about right?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The general rule of thumb is to balance out the gaps so one set of gaps is not noticeably larger than the other. It is not an approval issue, however, so if you like the look, go for it!

Koryu1212(Dan D)
Added some Velcro to top of boot and that fixed the inward movement... Edited May 10, 2018 by MAC Dan D Content
Koryu1212(Dan D)
Ok so I installed my “simulated bracket” screws and painted all my rivets...And I dug this box out of my closet...Finally...Here goes!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Koryu1212(Dan D)
Question time...so I’ve penciled in my “cut” lines... Cap-n-back Brow line “curves around” a-la “Stop that ship” trooper, which is who I’m emulating...but... ...that mold/cut line is fairly defined... ...this one not so much. I’ve got two lines marked (1 and 2) and they do join back on themselves...at a loss though! Face Again, this side pretty defined along the mold/cut line... Same as top...marked two lines (1 and 2)... Eyes/teeth Fairly self-explanatory... Inside eye cut lines... ...or outside cut lines? I patiently await everyone’s guidance. djrue
Slow and easy on the sides and ears. Don't follow the faint lines on ATA. Cut sparingly and may the force be with you. All other cut lines you've penciled look good.
djrue
Did you actually make holes with your dremel for the simulated screws or just shaved the screw heads flat and glued?
