CosmicDazeM41
Hello! My name is Amy! I'm sooo excited to share that I am in the middle of making efforts into joining the 501st Legion & the Imperial Sands Garrison! First of all, I am currently working on a character that is pending to get on the CRL. There are already 1-3 people in the process of getting their costume submitted. The character is the Second Sister/Imperial Inquisitor from the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order! I have been gathering all the information on the proposed CRL, details, & photo references in the Second Sister Building group on FB & on the main forums in the Flagship Eclipse Detachment (as well as asking active members for help too!) I am currently working on the pauldrons, bracers, & the rank bars. The bucket, neck seal, & full lightsaber are currently being commissioned, waiting on the gloves & boots, & I recently reached out to Colleen to help me with the cape, coat & pants (my friend who is already in the 501st recommended me to her!). Aside from that here's a bit about me: I am currently a full time student at Cuyamaca College & I'm going for an A.S. in Environmental Health & Safety. I used to work at Mesa College as a Peer Health Advisor & did some outreach & charity work during my time there as well! I used to put my own costumes together for costume gatherings around SD & SDCC. I have been volunteering for SDCC for over 7-8 years & I've met great friends there as well. Some of my hobbies are yoga, hiking, playing video games, some martial arts/playing with light sabers, learning about the world & people around me, & so forth. I've been to a few charity events in costume for the San Diego Star Wars Society, & that's were I met my friend whom introduced me to the idea of 501st Legion! After a while I joined another group called The Order of Rebel Knights, which was for lightsaber choreography. I learned how to do the obi-ani spin, basic HEMA strikes & parrying, & implemented some Kali into lightsaber choreo! Over time, I turned my focus more so into school & self growth. Then eventually I came here! I really do miss being a part of a costuming community, & the costume I had before started malfunctioning (Rey), so my focus on the Second Sister was made after the release of the video game. I really do miss the smiles, laughter & fun! I can't wait to finish up this costume & move forward with it eventually in the 501st Legion! If there are any tips or thoughts for a newbie, I am totally open! I also enjoy learning about other people in general, so if you're a newbie like me or someone with experience, feel free to introduce yourself to me as well! Yeah her story is definitely interesting & sad. She also made an appearance in one the Darth Vader comic books.
