Gaanon
Here we go. I’m dyeing here! Turns out the tub was closer to 25gal. Poured in all three bottles of dye, 3c salt, and let it work it’s magic. 20 minutes in and I was waiting on at least one of the three Fates to show up. You don’t know how long 30minutes is until you do this. And here we go all rinsed and hanging to dry. I’m at the laundromat now washing and drying. It’s been a while since I’ve been to one. Bring the change purse. You’ll need it! Wash is done. Now the dry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DaygoErm
Pre-Wash is done. Dryer filter clogged... LOL! Will dye this week. 17 yards to start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BrieKalan2
Brian, the rinsed fabric looks great. The washed and dried photo looks very pale though, like more tan than brown. Is it just the lighting on the pic?

Be sure to do dip tests with strips of the same fabric. There is some variation in the dye color... Make sure you like what you see before getting a whole lot of fabric in a weird color! DaygoErm
Finally finished these up. Slight difference in color with the two batches. 7yd is Walmart and 10yd is Joanne. I personally like the Walmart better in fabric. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BrieKalan2
In terms of color, either is perfectly acceptable though. earthy dirty rusty brown. Good work!!

If you have them, bring a measuring tape, your best fabric scissors, and pins.
Gaanon
Second try, and they sent me the right order. 15 minutes later (I took my time with it) and my sound board is working, complete with Jawa sounds! UTINI!!!
DaygoErm
Testing layers with eyes. This is with one coat so far. We’ll see how many layers it takes, to get what we need. After I get the # down, I’ll spray the other sets too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BrieKalan2
Very nice! It wouldn't hurt to do a few layers, as they do get scratched from time to time. Some folks paint the eyes on the inside of the domes just to prevent that.

DaygoErm
So much air flow! I can breathe... LOL! Used extra strips from TK build... always keep your scraps. Never know when you might need them. Just need to pick up screw and lock nut to mount. Spray black. Also have enough space to mount power bank, switch, etc....
