  1. Not yet, been waiting for shrink wrap and extra time to work on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I might have to try something like that. I'll need to bore out the holes some more first. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  3. I placed the microphones behind the middle of the ears. My guess is the microphones are picking up the vibration of the fans through the plastic. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  4. One of the first things I did with my TK helmet was install a couple of 5v fans towards the front. Since then it's been difficult to hear while the fans are running. So then next step was a hearing aid of some sort. I know there's that guy who makes them and sells for 60 bucks on the FISD forum but that's a bit pricey for me. While wandering around a Radio Shack I stumbled upon this... I spent about an hour and a half soldering and got this... And installed... Pretty cool, only problem is the noise from the fans have been amplified and I definitely can't hear anything else. Any suggestions on how to fix? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  5. I was able to find an all black Wilson compression shirt with a small logo at Big 5 and all black Champion running tights on Amazon. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  6. Can you add me to your Facebook group? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. Welcome Frankie! I recently finished my kit. If there's anything I can help with, feel free to PM me with any questions you might have. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. Bam, just made Centurion! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  9. I made Expert Infantry! Next up Centurion. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  10. After a couple of fixes and acquisition of said blaster, I figured it was time to submit for EIB. I don't anticipate any major issues since I built with centurion in mind. I just hope they think I built my TK as well as I think I did. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  11. Got my blaster today! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  12. Thank you again Mr. Stutz! I am having a little trouble with the abs paste. I get bubbles once it dries. I have sanded the area after, starting with 220 then 400 and finished with 1500. When I polish after it comes out very smooth but not as shiny. I think I might have to get an even finer grit sandpaper and try a different polish. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. Apparently using the webbing was my bad. I was under the impression that elastic would be to weak. I'm replacing the nylon webbing with some of my 1 inch elastic I have left over. I applied some abs paste to some of the more damaged holes and after extensive sanding and polishing, I'm not entirely happy with the outcome. You can tell that top hole had the worst blow out. I want to try painting over the area. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. So 4 of 6 rivets caused cracking in my kidney to ab connection. Glued reinforcement abs strips behind holes and abs pasted the tops. Lots of sanding and polishing in my future. Anybody else have this issue with any kit? Have suggestions on how to best move forward or did I cover it. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks! I'm going to give it a try. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  16. Would it detrimental to trim the bottom back of thighs and upper calf? I feel like this will increase mobility and comfort. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  17. Thank you, happy to be here. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  18. Hello, this is TK-21115 requesting access.
  19. I have used a couple different types of blue tape. One is your typical blue masking tape, the other was for delicate surfaces and both made by 3M. I like the delicate surface one more, it seems to leave a cleaner edge. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  20. So I think I'm done with the armor, I'm going to apply as soon as I get my blaster and holster. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  21. I did add straps on the shoulder bell for the biceps. I'd post a picture but for some reason I am unable to upload a picture. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  22. Thank you for your input! I spoke with the GML before and he's been helpful. The shins were pretty tight on the tops of my TKBoots but I am going to try to bring them down a little somehow. The thighs weren't secured very well, I had the straps tucked in to my pants waistband. Despite the near completed look I have quite a bit of work to do. Still need to make my belt, finish the helmet and have some small stuff to work on. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  23. This is just a test fit. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  24. Right about the bracket not being screwed on. I left one side loose on each bracket to make putting them together easier. As for the buttons, I followed UKSWRATH'S thread. I understand that his measurements could be different since he was building an Anovos kit. I am making my own belt so I think I can adjust button placement on the belt to compensate if I need to. There was a user with a decent MTK build thread on FISD but I think this MTK has some differences. With that in mind my logic was if my kit is different I might as well use the most precise build thread I could find. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  25. With all the info and examples available to me on the FISD I did move forward on a thigh and ab/kidney fit I felt worked best for me. I made the necessary trimmings and fit the ab/kidney with Mr No Stripes brackets and the ab/kidney split rivets and straps. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
