  2. dang I was looking forward to tomorrow, ok will make a note for next weekend
  3. I would like to come, I really need help taking my pics for my costume submission form. The ones I took a while back were not up to spec according to dean unfortunately.
  4. So I summitted an application to join as an Imperial Military Officer (Non-Saga), with a request for an exception concerning the fact I cannot close the clasps on the top of collar due to having a very big neck. The request was unfortunately rejected which leaves me in a predicament. First off I am NOT buying a new uniform/tunic (as was suggested in the email I received) as I have already spent enough buying the one I have and altering it to fit me better (with the exception of the collar). I just don't have the funds to throw it all away and start over. Plus I feel getting a tunic the next size up would overall be a waste to buy it and as I would then need to have it altered/slimed back down to what my current uniform is, as my current uniform fits me fine EXCEPT for this one issue......so the only thing I can think to do is try to have it altered to make it bigger/looser so it fits around my neck. My only question is, is that even possible? I'm hoping there are other members here who have had a similar problem who can give me advice on the best way to rectify this, as I'm feeling a bit defeated and stuck right now.
  5. cool, I'll definitely keep that in mind if the boots I ordered don't fit, as there's a definite possibility since they didn't have my exact size (9 4E). I ordered 10's but we'll see how that goes.
  6. So I've bit the bullet and ordered my hat/top/pants from wampa wear, also got some boots coming from magnoli in NZ (that I'm a little nervous about fitting). It will take a few weeks to get everything. But I ordered general sizes from WW and assuming everything fits more or less, I wanted to get a jump on suggestions for decent places in SD to get alterations done for a decent price (preferably around clairemont/kearny/mirimar if possible). Would also be curious if any local members are open/available to doing in person fittings/alterations since I have NO experience in doing that myself. I know SDCC is coming so I understand if everyone is busy, but just wanted to ask all the same. thanks
  7. So I'm currently working on my imperial officer uniform (after getting some suggestions where to get it) and I thought it would be nice to have a sidearm. I kind of like the SE-14r (like Tala used in Obi-wan). Since it would appear to be correct for the era/uniform I'm doing. (at least from her use of it). But I'm not sure what the correct holster for it is. I found some on etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/654693967/holster-for-se14-used-from-imperial?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=se+14+holster&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&organic_search_click=1 https://www.etsy.com/listing/942454001/icat-trooper-se-14r-holster?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=se+14+holster&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&frs=1&sts=1&organic_search_click=1 But like I said, not sure which one is screen accurate, so any input of which one I should get or any other options would be appreciated
  8. Delete if not allowed, I talked to a few members who were at the free comic-book day event at comickaze in clairemont/San Diego today. And the one guy dressed as a first order officer looked great. As I told him I am looking to join the 501st, and want to get an imperial officer uniform (rebels or non-saga), But don't really know what the best route to get one is. I have seen costume makers on etsy selling them, but want to get one that is as close to 501st approved as possible so if anyone who makes costumes in the group can take on a commissioned project, knows some local tailors who could help, or could at least point in the right direction to figure this all out, I would really appreciate it.
