Starting place for bounty hunter

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody, I am new to the scene and I am looking to get my first attire. I would eventually like to build a bounty hunter costume similar to something worn by the Death Watch Mandalorian's and Bo-Katan! Is there a gateway costume that may have anything similar I can build upon down the road?

I am looking through the costume detachment guide but it is rather large so I figured I would ask on here for any suggestions. I saw on a previous form someone had mentioned Wampa Wear and Imperial Boots for costumes and accessories. Those sites look fantastic, and I am wondering if there are any more suggestions or maybe resources for buying used gear?

Best,

Jamie

Hi again Jamie!

I'm not an expert in those costumes. However, I did a word search in the Legion's Costume reference Library and Bo-Katan's CRL is still being worked on.

It's "assigned" to the Bounty Hunters Guild. This is essentially a "club within the club" and this is where you can really go down the rabbit hole in your research for all of the right parts and updates / discussions as the CRL is built. https://thebhg.net/

I don't know enough about Deathwatch to comment with any authority, I'm afraid.

Thanks DymnDog! I was able to look over that information and I think I have a better understanding of the different detachments, guilds, and clans now.

I did an online search for costumes and I wondering if I were to purchase something off of this website if anyone has any opinions based on experience on whether or not the quality might be up to snuff? magicwardrobes.com

Hi Jamie-

I haven't purchased anything from that website, no have I heard anything one way or the other about it.  Most of the Star Wars costumes on it are "good guy" costumes, and thus not covered by the 501st.  I really only see Krennic and Kylo there, and the Kylo isn't even close to the 501st requirements.

Sometimes people sell their used costumes, but you have to be very careful to make sure that the costume is fitted to your specific body type and still meets current approval requirements.  Sometimes the requirements are updated and old approvals don't transfer with the costume when it is sold.

Likely the 501st's CRL's (costume reference libraries) for the Deathwatch and Bo Katan will be very similar to the ones for the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club.  Here are links to their requirements:
