  1. I'll be in East County this time. But I miss you all and hope to see you soon! The crawler is ready to start it's build finally I think. *cries* @Nathan Fewell Hope to meet you next time!
  2. I will be going (just me) I'm bringing gummy bears; thank your fellow troopers for that idea folks. maybe some vodka, and/or meatballs. I'll be a secret santa; no gift for me though, whoever draws me just donate to a charitable organization in my name, please.
  3. I heard you were hoping your secret snowtrooper will bring you cedar blocks and/or a skirt hanger for your wardrobe this year.
  4. Welcome! Hope to see you fitted up and trooping in no time!
  5. or we could march madness it as well, and do bracketing...the winners move on to...eat more?
  6. Horse Racing is one dubious kind of gambling that's legal in California, so long as it's done at a track. I figure this would basically be a reverse race; the last person to run for the milk (or the bathroom) is the winner. Best 3 out of 5 wins the grand prize of...something?
  7. Don't forget your safety glasses folks. Should say Z87+ or Z87.1 on them. Home Depot or Lowes has them; harbor freight does not.
  8. I am actually hoping to make 2 or three if that's possible. I've got the funds!
  9. I suppose I should sign up for this. Ugh, been having problems with checking forums. Maybe we could cure if we built a rotisserie over the firepit or in front of a bank of heatguns?
  10. I'll be there as well; hoping to be working on something lol.
  11. Lol, awwww. Go Paul! That said, I am willing to help people set theirs up, I'd just rather do it one at a time versus all at once.
  12. update! sorry this took so long. I've got all the boards tested. I'll have them with me at the armor party tomorrow!
  13. you will need an amplifier. I'm rumming with an Aker 1506 which is 10W. The boards themselves are built for 10W, so you can get a pretty good range on them if you use a an amplifier that's close to the same wattage. The boards do have a little gain control, but I've found it to be fickle. The only other things you'll need are a compression glove, and velcro. I recommend stick on velcro at first, just to figure out where the buttons like to sit on your hand, and sewing the connector pieces to your glove. the buttons should just have stick on velcro or regular velcro glued on, so you can remove them from the glove or move them around. I have 9V connectors aplenty so those I'll cover.
  14. Update: Everything should arrive tomorrow; I'll start doing the basic wiring and testing this weekend!
  15. Okay, so a majority of folks paid, I've decided I'm going to place the order tomorrow morning and hope to have it this weekend, so I can start going over components. @Tiedoll and @EtherPilot888 if you can hit my paypal sometime in the next few days that will work.
  16. updated paid list again: Only two folks left, then I can order, unless others suddenly jumps in in the next few days.
  17. Updated again! I'm gonna be super busy on the 11th at this AP now, hah!
