Talon Ven'ad
So... I bought Mitches Sandtrooper and it fits nearly perfect. I decided I wanted to dirty it up a lot more though, as I really like the more heavily weathered Sandtroopers. However.... I don't want to go overboard to the point of being denied approval. My plan is to finish painting the kit over the next two days. Opinions on what I've done so far to it? Too much?
TrooperVic
What are you using for the weathering? I tend to lean more towards grout as it looks more natural in my opinion.
djrue
Looks a little heavy on the weathering. I used hairspray and splattered fuller's earth. This technique will allow you to add/subtract as needed.Best point of reference are always screen captures from A New Hope. You'll see that the troopers aren't that heavily weathered. It's also a good idea to somewhat match the weathering of the rest of us in the Garrison.
djrue
Here are photos of four of our Sandys for reference. There's slight varaiance between us but not too drastic.
Talon Ven'ad
I toned it down a bit but I'm definitely more "yellow" than you guys.
