  1. Welcome Haruka! We're glad you found us, and especially a South Bay trooper! I'm in Bonita, and there are several of us around. Please ask questions! We want to help you with whatever costume you decide (when you decide) and avoid making expensive mistakes.
  2. Tell your friends up there if they want to come to troop with us they need to set up an account and have it tweaked to 501st legion level just like you did.
  3. Good luck buddy! You'll find 501st Legion Family almost anywhere you go.
  4. Brian! So good to see you and hear you're in the ISG territory! I can add you to a FB chat group for ISG Sith Lords to discuss and share the Vader opportunities if you'd like.
  5. I was driving and missed the discussion about how and when we're going to respond to the challenge. Can someone summarize?
  6. Welcome! I have been the only RoTJ TIE Pilot in the Garrison, so I welcome a new wingman! Gotta love the third hose!
  7. I'm coming! Sorry about the late response. I'm fixing up my famous tri-tip steaks and bringing drinks and a coupe of toys to donate. Just me, though.
  8. Tonight is the Homecoming game at my kids' High School and the family is going. So I will see you at the Armor Party!
  9. And the Sith Lord Detachment has VOLUMES of information regarding every cape (and every other part). Have you set up your account at https://www.501stsithlords.com/ yet, David?
  10. Welcome Wesley! Take it slow and ask questions. We're here to help.
  11. I think I can make it out later today!! Looking forward to seeing friends.
  12. Welcome! You have made the right first step... asking for help! We encourage people to take their time to decide which costume is the right one for you. Every costume has it's pluses and minuses. The following link lists all 400+ costumes which have been researched and detailed with descriptions of each part...but more importantly, there is a Detachment link for each group. For instance, if you wanted to build a TIE Pilot, you should go to the Detachment web page https://www.jrs501st.com/ which is where everyone around the world who is trying to build a TIE Pilot should go to find all of the right pieces. In addition, we have monthly "Armor Parties" which are a great opportunity for new or prospective members to meet the local troopers and ask them why they picked their costume. So ask away! How did you learn about the 501st Legion?
  13. I haven’t done that myself, but I recall seeing a number of build threads on the JRS Forum of using a bunch of clips and/or magnets. A heat gun can be risky because if you hit a spot more than another, you could see a warble.
  14. I won’t be able to make it today, but please FB Live stream the meeting?
  15. Sorry, Dan. I've got a full house.
  16. I found out it will be at 1:00pm for those who were asking...
  17. I can only come out for the meeting. What time is it going to be?
  18. I won't be at WonderCon but I will be on Spring Break vacation.
  19. I'll be there at least for the meeting. Will try to bring some sort of protein (chicken, steak, bratwurst...something).
  20. Welcome Danny! I hope to get to meet you next month at the Air Show!
