Thanks man. Any suggestions for who or how I can talk to these mods? I don't know anyone on the forums personally.

This lists all the officers and public positions for each detachment, garrison, etc.

That's the sad part. I used PayPal's "send money" feature because at the time I was draining my account and couldn't afford the extra fees of using PayPal's services. And JJ said something like "you can ask around, lots of people will vouch for me." Which is funny because the more research I did about him, the more pissed off people I found.

Paypal has two options, "Friends and Family" or "Goods and Services". If you link a debit/credit card, Friends & Family incurs a fee by the sender but no fees if you are using a PayPal balance. With Goods & Services, the fees are paid by the receiver. So, you could have used Goods and Services option, had buyer protection, and paid no fees. Not telling you this to feel bad but to help you with future purchases.
I still recommend reaching out to the mods/leaders on FISD, they may be able to help or at least add the user to a published "beware of these vendors" list.
Any good seller uses tracking numbers especially for higher priced items.
Good luck!

JJ completely stopped all contact when I asked for a tracking number. I believe he lied about shipping it. I current have the BBB going after him.Did you get a tracking number? The mods mightDid you pay PayPal goods & services? They offer protection for 180 days.

Did you get a tracking number? The FISD mods might be able to help as well. Over on the Biker Scout boards there is a thread devoted to helping those members get the goods they ordered from one problematic vendor, for example.

I actually bought 2 helmets, the seller still has one more available. He is asking $175 for the completed helmet.

I will bring one of them to Saturday's armor party so anyone who wants to can come check it out.

Helmet looks sweet, Todd! Been finishing up my helmet but I feel like mind is a tad small since it was before I knew where to look so I might have to go for a Darth Hair down the road.
This one is small too but I have seen some pilots that look like bobble heads and I wanted to avoid that look :-)

Here's another boot source, recommended on the Rebel Legion forums. I don't like the textured look as much as the smooth finish personally. Only €40 or about $45 USD plus shipping.

Oh ho ho, my next piece has arrived!

I spent a couple hours researching jack boots, and have ordered these. They have limited sizes, only up to a US 10.5, but I was able to get them for just over $100 incl shipping. These boots can also be used for Tie Pilot costumes.

Dean
Do you have a link for a TK chatter loop?
Thanks!
Joe

Hey Joe, we're not allowed to repost the links but if you go to the 501st forums and search the General Discussion forum you'll see "501st Legion Costume Loops and Soundscapes" topic. That's the one you want.
-
the gloves that Todd suggested, price is good for $25 but they look to have a textured gauntlet instead of smooth?
-
Imperial boots is now accepting orders. Rebel pilot boots are $100 + $65 shipping (!). Ordering higher quantities doesn't save, it just increases the multiplier x $65.

Got my access to Rebel Legion forums. I read that someone contacted WampaWear and they are making orange jumpsuits and should have them available to purchase by end of June.
-
I hope Rebel Legion activates my account soon... It's been 3 days. I want to see where all these links go that Todd posted!
-
So should we change the topic to REBEL pilot project?
-
Very excited to start this build! By the way, is anyone else having problems with Wampawear's page? I click on links and get nothing.
Yeah most of the categories are empty it seems.

I already had a orange flight suit from Wampa Wear:

And one is made by Far Away Creations, but you will have to email for info:
But if you are the sewing type and want to do your own, here is one that could be used as a base (it is the same one I used for my AT-AT driver):

Wampawear - currently does not have the orange flight suit on their site.
Far Away Creations - I know their armor takes a soooooooper long time (over a year, providing almost no communication about timing or delays) but they may have different people involved for making sewn products
RedKap - I have this same RedKap coverall in black for my biker scout. I can't seem to find a "Long" version vs Regular in anything smaller than a 42. Which might be ok, I think the pilot coveralls might need to fit looser than my scout - will do more research.

It appears that we will need an additional suit that we can use for donor fabric to create flight suit pockets. It definitely makes sense we all get the same supplier so the material matches and we can share. I read that one extra suit should provide enough material for 3 pilot outfits, we can probably order an XL size to get the most material.
-
I'm ok with either classic or TFA. Although it's probably easier to obtain a helmet for the classic X wing pilot outfit.
-
Echoing what Scott said - interested! But not currently a member of Rebel Legion and would prefer to keep things under $1000.

Have you tried the Sith Lord detachment forums? That's where the experts are for this costume: http://forum.501stsithlords.com

Welcome to the ISG forums, Trung. Check out some of the other recent posts, many others just got theirs as well (me included!) and there's a build day planned for Feb 6 as an overview of the project, led by our wonderful Garrison Membership Liaison!

Ooh I'd like to see how you work on resizing a clone outfit, something I've been thinking of doing myself.

We are currently working on building OT X Wing Pilots, it's not too late to get in on that. PunkRocketScience is leading the effort.
