Hey Josh, you're not alone! I'm a TK in training myself. Hope to see you at the next armor build party! Brian Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Finally starting down this road and looking for all the help I can get! I'm not a Legion member yet, but I hope to be approved and trooping for Rogue One. I received my ANH Stunt TK set from ATA about two weeks ago. I know I don't have all the stuff I need (snaps, rivets, screws, strapping, etc), but that will be in the works. I did however pick up a set of Dave M ANH decals from Trooperbay, and plan to pick up more stuff from him or others as needed. I'm signed up on the FISD board and will be simultaneously posting my build there as well. I've also managed to get my hands on a Doopydoos full resin E-11 as well as an actual folding stock and some other actual hardware to enhance it. To say I'm excited is a bit of an understatement! I've got an idea for the under suit on Amazon, and I know I can get the neck seal and proper gloves and hand plate. I'll probably wait for the boots until last unless I find a good deal. So far I'd say I'm about 1/2 way done with the bucket. Face is joined to the cap and back, and I've got one ear attached. Not exactly happy with how it looks and I might have to go into Terrell's second set to try and redo it. I guess the question is, should I be touching base with anyone as I'm going? Either in person or electronic. If nothing else, just to make sure I'm not completely messing anything up before it becomes irreparable. (Hopefully the photo works...) Brian
  3. Just put my name on the wait list at ATA for a full TK Stunt kit. 10 months is a long time, but I know I can use it to get the rest of the gear I'll need. At what point should a newb request access?
  4. I'm looking at doing a Stormtrooper. My original thought was that I'd have to learn to form the armor myself. That was the biggest thing preventing me. Now I'm finally seeing parts to be purchased and I'm thinking it's possible. I'm hoping to make it out to the Feb meeting in Poway with my youngest. She's excited also. 5. Hi there. I'm Brian, an aspiring member. Haven't started my build yet. Still gathering information and trying to align the costume with my skill level.
