Okay...  So here is what I've found so far for the classic X-pilot...  Not an endorsement of any of these products, just letting you know what I'm using!  But first, here is a link to the costume requirements on the RL site:

http://www.rebellegion.com/x-wing-pilot-episode-iv-vi-y-wing-pilot-episode-iv/

And the pilot sub-forum:

Here is the helmet I decided on from Darth Hair:

I'm also going with his chest box (combined shipping!):

I already had a orange flight suit from Wampa Wear:

http://www.wampawear.com/x-wing-orange-flightsuit/

And one is made by Far Away Creations, but you will have to email for info:

info@farawaycreations.com

But if you are the sewing type and want to do your own, here is one that could be used as a base (it is the same one I used for my AT-AT driver):

For boots, I'm going with these:

Gloves:

Aluminum Greebs:

I'm planning on sewing the flak vest and strapping myself, with design help from Lesley.  Here are a couple of tutorials:

http://www.alderaanbase.com/reference/xwingcostume/

Lesley has a source for the strapping, so we can put in a group order.

Finally, if you haven't gone over to Sunrider base and signed up for an account there yet, you might want to do so:

That's all I've got for you right at the moment...  But it is quite a bit of info!  I hope that it is helpful!

For those who are a little price strapped, you can make the leg flares and belt flares from wood dowels, kilz, silver metallic paint, clear coat, polish and patience!

I can indeed get all the grey strapping and oD green strapping needed for this through strapworks--and we get a wholesale discount because we're also a retailer.

We also need to look for buckles and stuff for the strapping--I have to go look for the source.

And don't forget we all need Compads!

I have a mold for the comm pads, so I can pour those for the group.  I just need to know how many and then get resin.

The belt buckles can be found at either Wampa Wear, or Fenix Props.  We can probably save a little by doing a group order on those.

These appear to be the correct tuck clasps for the vest:

It appears that we will need an additional suit that we can use for donor fabric to create flight suit pockets. It definitely makes sense we all get the same supplier so the material matches and we can share. I read that one extra suit should provide enough material for 3 pilot outfits, we can probably order an XL size to get the most material.

There is definitely enough extra material in a donor suit for 2 others...  Not sure if you would get three in it without doing some careful layout...

Are we able to buy any of these items as a group to get a discount or together so we are all progressing at the same rate?

Yes, strapping, buckles, for sure.  Would have to check on other items.

But we do need to hold each other accountable on getting this project done on time!

As always, the casa will be open for sewing workshops and general help when we start getting supplies in and start working!

Wampawear - currently does not have the orange flight suit on their site.

Far Away Creations - I know their armor takes a soooooooper long time (over a year, providing almost no communication about timing or delays) but they may have different people involved for making sewn products

RedKap - I have this same RedKap coverall in black for my biker scout. I can't seem to find a "Long" version vs Regular in anything smaller than a 42. Which might be ok, I think the pilot coveralls might need to fit looser than my scout - will do more research.

I reached out to Wampa wear to see if he does custom work...probably not, but looking anyway

I talked to Gabe Flores, his was made by CosplaySky...when I looked on their site today, orange jumpsuits weren't there. We may have problems finding suppliers as many are probably out due to TFA/Rogue One.

I'm excited for this too...  never really thought about becoming a Rebel Pilot, but all this Rogue One hoopla has me all worked up.
Would need lots of help when it comes to sewing, straps, and details, but in a group setting, the motivation is definitely there.

I hope Rebel Legion activates my account soon... It's been 3 days. emoji19.png I want to see where all these links go that Todd posted!

There might be something wrong. It doesn't normally take that long.

I just checked their website and it says that the shopping cart is disabled until Friday, May 6th and the current ordering "wave" will only only be open until May 13th.  A very limited time!  Get your orders in!

Can these boots be used for Jedi as well?
